Bajoran Ranksets are a little different than other typical Trek military organizations. The O-7 - O-10 grades recycle the Line Officer ranks and wear them on both sides of the collar instead of just one side. The Brigadier General wears the ranks of a Captain, the Major General wears the ranks of a Major, and so on. For SIMMers who would prefer to show only one rank, there is a gold trim option which can be used for Flag Officers.
The Lt. Colonel and Colonel pips was a revision during DS9. For Season 1 & 2, the O5 and O6 were used. From Season 3 on, the O5A and O6A pips were used. Both version are canon as they have been seen on screen.
