 Okay, Heyallo.

I got your hugs smiley done.

And a couple other little fixes along the way.

 Odds, Evens, Beginnings and Ends...
Posted by Kuro-chan - November 23rd, 2014 - 07:22
TOS Reboot, 2230's integrated set is finished. I re-designed most of the pips and the backgrounds, incorporated those changes into the split/NOVA set and updated/included a sample image to go with them. I did not like the 'rough' texture of the uniforms before, especially since that design is inconsistent with how they appeared in the movies...

Kurojack, my 3rd mini-game, is now online. You will require an account to play it, since it deals with Kuro coins. (For which there is still nothing to spend it on, yet. One thing at a time, Kuro... One thing at a time.

I am starting to re-establish the voting system again. Unlike the last time, not only do you require an account, but you will also be limited to one vote per submission. The database does tracks which account votes where, to ensure we do not have a repeat of what happened with the older setup.

Heyallo is also demanding I make more smileys. Apparently, I need a hug smiley. This sounds pretty serious...

That's one serious case of Caber Tossin', if you ask me!

Special thanks to Highlander for chipping in a donation to the site. I certainly appreciate it.

 A "Mild Entertainment" Update.
Posted by Kuro-chan - November 17th, 2014 - 04:07
I updated the "Poker Her" game to include the more "Bandwidth-friendly" version. I also added the slots game I had been working on, so there is more than one to play. At the rate this is going, Kuro-RPG may end up becoming an arcade of mini-games, rather than a rankset site.

Keep in mind, the games are made for those who registered and have active accounts on the site.

UPDATE: A heads up to the handful who have been playing the games: I made some mods to the achievement system so no one game is worth more than 100 pts. This lowered the poker values, but I also expanded the achievements for slots, bringing the total up to eight.

 Casual Annoyance
Posted by Kuro-chan - November 15th, 2014 - 16:49
One of my 'really' older Enterprise sets was improperly linked to my database. That has been fixed. (Thanks to Kuro-chan for noticing).

Also, I heard an interesting rumor about one of our community members doing something potentially interesting to spice up the forums. Stay tuned.

Oh Hey lookie, there be Bajorans about!
Posted by Heyallo - October 29th, 2014 - 02:07
So Kuro has been a busy kuro since the Bajorans came to town, they even got shiny new uniforms

Bajoran Militia (Integrated)
Bajoran Militia (Nova 3 Style)

My only thought about all this was Kuro imitating bones:

"I'm an artist, not a tailor!"

Adding a new section always seems simple, yet complicated...
Posted by Kuro-chan - October 24th, 2014 - 17:49
For a little bit of site history, I added a section called "Version History", which includes screencaps of the many versions of the site taken over the last nine years. Looking at them, it amazes me how much change this site has gone through... I kept the summaries brief and 'to the point' of what happened during the year. Looking through my posts over the years helped me to recall things I may have missed along the way.

I also fixed a few bugs and updated a few little graphics along the way. Cleanup is rarely a bad thing.

 Server Upgrades
Posted by Daniel - October 23rd, 2014 - 07:28
We've successfully completed our server upgrades!
The site should now be faster(hopefully), and I also found a glitch that may have prevented certain groups of people from accessing this site for several months.
Let Kuro-chan know if you notice any new issues after this upgrade, and they'll be forwarded to me.
 Email Response: antt

Hi antt.

You did not leave me an email for me to respond to, so I will have to post my response on the website.

There are no download buttons on any of the of the lists.

To get a download link, you will need to open up a rankset page from the list. There are two download buttons when you view a page, one near the top (smaller button) and one near the bottom (bigger button). Then it is a matter of clicking the button and saving the file.

I think I should add a little more content to the FAQ.

 Hey, something went up today!
Posted by Kuro-chan - October 15th, 2014 - 04:28
Seems to be a regular theme, around here...

Anyhow, the forums are now online. This would be version 1.0. It may not be super fancy, but it should get the job done until suggestions for improvement become available and upcoming.

Anyone with an existing Kuro-RPG website account will have automatic access to the forum. If you cannot remember your password (And don't go asking me for it; I don't have it, either), you can always use the Password Recovery Page to setup a new one. If you cannot recall the email account you registered with, then you can bug me for that.

With any luck, I will be able to see some posts in the near future?

Oh, before I forget: Kevin W. contributed another donation to the site, so another updated rankset should appear on here, soon.
